Hello All,

Due to my inadvertently sending Lorrie's email message to clayart, I have =
gotten
enough personal mail to keep me busy for days. Therefore, I am sending the
above recipe to the entire list. I am sorry that the pictures sent to =
Lorrie
will not go through to clayart in order for you to see this glaze. I will =
not
delete my email, and as I have time I will forward the pictures to ones who =
have
requested them.

Jo's Red

Gerstley Borate 45
EPK 10
Talc 15
Flint 30

ADD:

Red Iron Oxide 22 This is not a misprint.

If there is somewhere I can send the pictures so everyone could see them, I
would be happy to do so.

Hello all,

I apologize again for sending Lorrie's email to clayart and causing so much
confusion.

Frank Gaydos has been gracious enough to offer to put my pictures on his web
site to see what the color combinations look like. When he has it ready he =
will
let all know.

Jo's Red is =5E6 oxidation must be applied very very thick. =
I
make the glaze thick to start with. Some people say it runs when too thick =
but
I have never had it run. I mix the glaze so thick that when you put your =
hand
in, pull it out and bend your knuckles, you can barely see that there are
wrinkles or lines where my knuckles should be. You will just have to
experiment to get it the right consistency. I have only had one batch turn
brown and that was because the glaze was way too thin. I have used this =
glaze
for 5 years and that is the only time it was brown. This is my =231 =
standard
glaze used.

I hope this answers all your questions.
