I know I'm still a clay intermedie (and may it always be thus), and I'm
no artist (although I'm willing to be; I just don't see that "artist"
can be learned.....correct me if I'm wrong......please.) However, I have
stacks of moldy papers as evidence that I at some points in my loooong
journey have been able to follow a thought from inception to some
logical conclusion. Sooo, tell me please, what is the major difference
in using a "mold" to form clay whatevers, or in using a "ram press" or a
"jigger" to form same???? Other than the sheer numbers one can produce
in an allotted time???? And the cost of the original equipment????
I usually can suspend disbelief and make the huge jumps initial learning
requires, but my non-artist mind is becoming befogged on this one.

gray, gloppy suds on top....then my shinoed non-NCECA mug can find its
