A request was made for wheel plans. I decided to reply onlist in case
other readers were interested. I don't vouch/recommend any particular
one--just giving you references to check yourself.

www.dreamscape.com/smiths/plans.html (There used o be a different plan
at this site. You might ask the author to send you that one, too.)

Also, see Ceramics Monthly --April, 1988, page 83.

Ceramics Monthly, October, 1980, pages 48-50 for a Japanese-style
Handwheel.

Also, Arts and Activities, March, 1976, pages 28-31 for a really crude
wheel made from an old car tire.

Correction on wheel plans. I can't type!

There is no "i" before wheel. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Hello All,
In my earlier message I asked for plans for a home-built kick-wheel.
Actually, I would welcome ANY plans for a self-built wheel - kick wheel,
electric, whatever. If they can not be e-mailed, please fax me at
902/860-2738 (Nova Scotia, Canada). In return I will toss a pebble with
your name on it into the Atlantic Ocean. Best I can do.
With many thanks
John Vandermeulen, Oakfield, N.S., Canada
