For those of us wanting to test for metals in our fired ware: contact Audra
Iknoian at Twining Labs in Fresno: (559) 268-7021. $18 per metal, and
their report will compare your ware's level with federally accepted
standards. They generally test for lead and cadmium, but will test for
other metals per your request. In addition, they'll pick up the test
pieces on their runs to various cities in California for $30.
