Techniques to be covered include:
Making/mixing colored clays

Pinch forms with marbleized clay
Patterned colored clay loaves
Slab construction with colored clays
Slump, soft slab, and stiff-slab forms with patterned colored clays
Colored clay marquetry
Use of colored clays in thrown forms

reasonable price at the workshop.

Scheduled as an evening workshop, participants will have their days
free to enjoy all of the delights that the Waccamaw Neck area of coastal
South Carolina has to offer in the late spring. Rich in history and
natural beauty, the Waccamaw Neck is bordered by the Intracoastal
Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean and offers such diversions as golf,
shopping, seafood restaurants, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, and of
course, wonderful beaches. Seventy miles to the south, you will find
the charm, history and architecture of Charleston. To the north, Myrtle
Beach offers the opportunity to experience another aspect of coastal
South Carolina, with resorts, attractions, shows and shopping. Plenty
of hotels, motels, and campgrounds are available in the area.
