Dannon Rhudy will be conducting a workshop on the Franics Marion Campus in
Florence, South Carolina on Saturday April 17, from 10:00 until 4:00.

The workshop will address two main topics. First, Dannon will provide a hands
on demonstration of the use of paper saggers for low temperature pit fire
results. The paper sagars will actually be loaded on Friday April 16 from 3:00
- 5:00 pm, fired over night and unloaded the Saturday. There may be room for a
few extra pieces in the kiln, so if you are coming out early and would like to
bring a small burnished pot for the firing, please contact me ahead of time and
I will try to make arrangements. Remeber, however, kiln space will be very
limited.

Also on Saturday, Dannon will demonstrate the techniques she uses to produce the
beautiful textured surfaces and forms for which she is so well known. This
unique process will included both throwing and handbuilding techniques.

The workshop, both days, is free and open to the public. But if you are
planning to attend, we will be having a potluck lunch on Saturday so bring some
eats. A good time will be had by all.

If you have any questions or need dirrections just call or send me an email.

See ya there.
Doug

Folks, if you are able to fly, drive, walk or crawl to Dannon's
workshop, GO. I've done it twice --- once for a week, once for a
weekend. You'll come away with half a dozen things that will change your
way of working forever, and have a lovely time with a personable,
professional, no-nonsense potter.

do it do it do it do it

Yours

I have to second Primal's advice. We had Dannon here in Louisville and she
was wonderful. So willing to share so much and incredibly knowledgeable.
Do it!
