<< You might want to do some research into face jugs and the Spouthern potters
who created them. It is of course perfectly OK if you still think they are
butt-ugly, but at least you will not become nauseous in their presence.

We recently went through West Virginia on our way from Colorado to
Washington DC.
On the turnpike/highway was a place called Tamarask Southern Art Center and
of course we stopped there. I saw some of the face jugs at the center but what
I absolutely had to have, we hand made wooden kitchen untensils.
I bought myself a set of measuring spoons make from Maple. They are art and
hanging on my wall in the kitchen. I also bought a wooden spatula and large
spoon made from Ash I think. They are not supposed to be art but they are.
The lines in them are lovely and soft. They fit so nicely in your hand, so
well balanced and have great lines in them. Art appreciation is seeing the
form and having the eye.
I agree Vince....
