Howdy, I need an address, phone #, or anything to get ahold of GACO -
Gas Appliance Company - that manufactures a short venturi burner
producing 94,000 BTU per hour. Respond quickly if you can point me in
the right direction. TIA, Lee

Lee,

Here ya' go:

Gas Appliance Co.
20915 Brant Ave.
Long Beach, CA.
310-635-3015

You can buy their burners from Marc Ward who is active here on clayart.
The value of his expertise is worth more than any markup he may have
on the burner price.

My $.02 on GACO burners - I am using them on my kiln only because I
got 8 MR750's for free from salvage from an old kiln. The quality control
on the burners I'm using is terrible - casting seams left protruding into
the venturi column, gas burner pin holes drilled off center and at an
angle causing the burners to wobble like an off-center pot when you
screw them in, very possibly being beyond the edge of your burner port
(mine come upfrom under the kiln). Things may have improved since
my burners were made.

If I was buying burners I'd shop around.

Richard

They are located in Long Beach, CA, and the number is 310/635-3015. They
manufacture the MR-750 and MR-100 which are quite popular around the
country, but if you buy them from the factory I think the price is about the
same as from Mark Ward or other suppliers. They do sell quite a few burners
that you cannot get elsewhere, but GACO can be difficult to deal with.
About four years ago the old Ransome B-5s on our salt kiln died, and I found
out that I could get four large venturi burners from GACO for about $550
total - FAR less than Ransome B-5s. So we ordered them, and it took six
months to get them. They seemed a bit disorganized.
