Does anyone have any feedback for me on the bluebird powerstar 750
pugmill. I'm looking at, and may buy one this weekend. It is well
maintained and has new parts, gearbox and vaccum pump. It seems to be an
old model with a gearchain instead of direct drive. They are asking
$2500.00 Any advice is welcome.

I own a Powerstar I which appears to be an equivelent model. It has a 1 HP
motor on it. The Powerstar 3000 has a 3HP motor.

I love this machine. I've owned it for about 8 years. I use it both to pug and
to extrude. It's never given me any trouble but if it does I'll just call
Bluebird and ask them how to fix it.

Your machine sounds quite old. That doesn't mean it isn't a good buy.
Bluebirds are built to last and I would advise you to go ahead but for the
price. In 1997 a Bluebird Powerstar 1 cost $4000, the Powerstar 3000 was
$7600. If you are looking at the 1 HP model I would think $2500 is a little
high. If you are looking a a 3 HP model then it's a good (excellent) price.
