inexpensive color price sheets/catalogs

I had tried printing a color sheet on a fairly new
(1998 vintage) Hewlett Packard 870Cse and, frankly, was underwhelmed.

Hi, John and all,

I have to hold up for HP here. Last fall we purchased an HP 1170Cse color
scanner/copier/printer. Granted, this one is bigger and pricier than the 870Cse
but the output is tremendous! Cartridges are about $35 for the black and $36
for the color (don't ask!!) at Best Buy. I just printed 90 double-sided flyer/m
and must say they look great! Not only did I use the Avery pre-scored three
panel flyer, but the *free* software they included with them is a pretty
useful little extra. I used Adobe Photoshop Deluxe for scanning the photos
(11 of them) and they are of handblown glass and pottery. I'm very pleased
with the results.

As usual all disclaimers...only wish I *could* afford HP stock...or Epson
stock!!

I have an HP Scan Jet 5p and an Epson 600Q printer. I wonder if I could do
that on mine! (Just spent $600 on 2500 copies of new 1-sided catalog page.
Hopefully it won't be defunct before they're used up.)

I didn't have alot of luck with the cerium oxide. I don't think I am
getting onto the felt disc properly. But my real problem is I don't have
the intermediary steps, I need a finer grade wet-grinder for
starters.....will work on it when I get back from California. But my new
drills worked so well we are generally feeling pretty positive about it all.
