yes the clay is stronger,
you compress the clay ply pulling it with water and line up all those clay
plates like a plate. I handbuild some handles but I use a rib on the cly
before I cut it.

I am no authority on the subject. I myself prefer the look of pulled
handles. I have never heard anything about them being stronger. I know
some people attach the clay to the pot, and then pull the handle. I like
doing it separate. I believe the ones who attach then pull, think the
handle adheres better. Connie
