After much discussion on the list about cleaning kiln shelves with angle
grinders, I decided I really needed to invest in just such a tool. Much
to my surprise Sears has (had) them on sale this weekend. I was able to
get the 4 1/2 inch Craftsman grinder for $60 instead of $80, if you are
thinking about getting an angle grinder you might want to check out your
local Sears.

Hi,

I've used my Mankita grinder for four years doing the bottoms of my pots=
and
my shelves and it got quite a work out. The switch statred to give me =
trouble.
I was told that this grinder had bushing instead of bearing, so I wasn't =
sure if
I wanted to put much money into a four year old grinder.
I took it apart for the heck of it and was amazed to find it had ball
bearings. I ordered a new switch and a set of brushes, total cost =247.00 =
and it
good as new. My original investment was =2449.00. It was very easy to =
repair and
I would reccomend it to anyone.
