Thank you so much everyone who responded to our Venco post. With your help -
success! We are now getting 93 , better than when we first bought it!. The
suggestion to hook the gauge directly to the pump was our starting point. We
learned that the problem was in the pump itself. The manufacturer said it
couldn't be fixed, but we took it to someone who repairs electric motors and
he was able to fix it. He used a "rebuild kit" and replaced some gaskets for
$150, a shock, but cheaper than a new pump, and it got me back in production.
We are using closed cell foam for a gasket. We only find one kind of
electrical tape and it doesn't work at all.
I learned a lot I didn't know about the pug mill from all the suggestions.
ClayArt is great. Hope I can help someone as much someday.
