Folks, I apologize for what seemed like cutting people no
slack. The subject is complicated enough without writing
pages of information, so in an effort to make a point I
needed to generalize.

Obviously everyone is different, but to make the point you
must assume I am giving you an illustration not a
condemnation. The point in one case is simply that some
people need more control than others. People who need less
control in their kilns, for whatever reason, will do well
with the kilns and systems that are out there. But I believe
it serves us all well to know that those books of designs,
etc., are not only not the only things out there, but they
do not represent the best in kiln design.

If you need better it surely helps to know that these is
better, if you don't need better, it helps to know that the
common knowledge works for a lot of people. I hope this is
a better way to put it. I am really trying to advance the
general knowledge because I see from the comments here that
people are having problems that would not have occurred with
well designed kilns. Please understand I am not trying to
put anyone down, sorry if I came off that way. I'm trying to
say too much in too short a time period.
