Maxine Krasnow, a potter friend here in Tucson, Arizona, and formerly
of Supermud Pottery in New York City, has urgent need for help with a
wood-fired kiln. This is a paying job, and she asked me to post this
on Clayart, in hopes that someone can help her out.

Maxine writes: Desperately seeking experienced wood kiln potter this
Labor Day weekend (Fri, Sept 8 to Sun, Sept. 6). Six students have
signed up for a wood-kiln workshop in Walton, NY, about 3 hours from
Manhattan, and have looked forward to it all summer. The person who
was going to supervise the workshop is ill and cannot attend. My
assistant can lead the 4-day workshop and do bulk of physical work
(wood is prepared). I need someone to direct stacking and firing of
28.7 noborigama single chamber wood kiln. You are welcome to stay for
potluck dinner, slide show, and unstacking of kiln. This is optional.
Essential is that someone is there to see kiln is stacked correctly,
kiln hits temperature, and these 6 students are not disappointed. I
can pay $450. I have relocated on the other side of the country, but
feel an ethical responsibility to save this situation. Please contact
Maxine Krasnow at 520-327-3949.

Thanks for your help.
