I will be in the Netherlands Aug 30-Sept 18 and would be interested in seeing
any galleries or exhibitions in the area. I will probably be in Amsterdam,
Enkhuizen, and DeLier (or any place in between reachable by train) I
particularly like raku but any pottery would be great.

Thanks,
Gary F.

Hanneke Oort has workshops nears Amesterdam at her farm. Participants.
Her husband Chris Oort has email. She is a good potter and has great workshops
catered with gormet food.

Amsterdam has a lot thats worth visiting no doubt. VVV-tourist information
will be able to help you there.

There are sure to be all sorts of galleries and exhibitions in other places,
but the Ceramics museum The Princessehof in the town of Leeuwarden is
especially worth a visit in my opinion.
They have a large exhibition of ceramics from China, Japan, India, Vietnam
etc and some beautifull Dutch art-nouveau porcelain (thats my favorite),
modern ceramics and much much more. They had a special raku exhibition this
year I heard, but it ended in march.
Its been some time since I was there, but it won't be long till I go again.

Its not on your route, but Holland is a small, small countrey and the trip
to Leeuwarden is a relaxed two/three hour journey by train.

Yours, Dinand de Vries,
(Not from Leeuwarden, but from Leidschendam, a 'suburb' of The Hague an
quite near De Lier in fact.)
