slide request for nceca 99 glaze doctor workshop

updated wed 23 sep 98

I have been asked by the program chariperson at NCECA to be their glaze
doctor for NCECA in Columbus this spring. The program will deal with the
concerns of studio potters. Dick Eppler will be the other panel member. His
background is in the ceramic industry.

I'd like to slant the program to not only the concerns of studio potters,
but also to present a slide show of glazing techniques that are not
commonly used in the studio. You can interpret this as broadly as you
wish. I am also going to spend some time on the need for balanced glazes,
deal with some issues regarding glazes on the molecular level, inclusion
pigments and stains, binders, flocculants, and some other things.

So here's the deal. If you'd like to considered for the slide presentation,
if you glaze with any special methods, techniques, etc etc, please take
some slides of how you glaze and a few of the finished work. Send them to
me, and I'll sort through them for the presentation.

You can p[ost me off the list of necessary.

Thanks

Jonathan
