To Jan and any other clayarter with suggestions, please:

How DO you make the rims on slab bowls "nice and even," and how do you
form the bottom foot ring without making it two inches high (got THAT
one down)? How thick do you make those slabs? I would post this direct
because Jan often advises me, but think others might like to know, also.

Joyce
In the Mojave happy to hear from Lynne Antone who just went to Nils/Mel
workshop at Nils' college. Sounded great!

I use a small copper elbow joint with a hole in the elbow part to round the
edge off of the slab. It is very easy to make by grinding the hole to the
appropriate size for the thickness of the slab you are using. I use slabs of
about 3/8 of an inch thick but it really depends on the size of the bowl.
