silicone in clay

I assume you're talking about mixing in silicone fluid not the silicone in
a tube.

The stuff in a tube will set up with the moisture in the clay before you
get it to the extruder. Even mixing it with dry clay will only create a
mess, a mess that will be setting up IN the extruder.

Silicone fluid would probably lubricate and make the clay more plastic, BUT
when firing the fumes would be toxic AND the breakdown product of silicones
is pure silica, which would effect the composition of the clay.

Back to the drawing board....
