Y'know, I'm glad someone brought this up. Can you really do this, or
is it a joke? My dad has a nifty new smoker/BBQ (Weber=21) that has a
thermometer and gets pretty darn hot. The thing looks like a trash
can on it's side, and it goes for hours. Is it really possible to
smoke a pot in this thing? Has anyone done this?

Joy, Lois, et al:
I must confess, I have never pit fired in a weber grill. One could
pitfire in anything that will hold combustables and a pot, I suppose. No
harm in trying, though. Isn't that how all discoveries are made? Try
something out and see if it works. None of us will laugh, I promise.
The point I was trying to make was that one should do whatever it takes to
keep making work, even (especially) if one "doesn't have a studio." Then you
WILL succeed. I promise.
Golly, now I have an itch to mix a bucket of terra cotta and fire up the ol'
weber!
