About a year ago, I bought a tool called a PottersPro from the SchatziBoyz
Pottery in Marengo, Illinois. I would like to purchase some for friends, but
their "800" number is no longer in service. Does anyone know if they are
still in business? If so, do you have an address or phone number that is
current?
TIA

tomorrow. It is hard to get in the holiday spirit when you are in shorts and
a tank top!

Hi Bill,
I bought one for my sister for christmas. I got it from Trinity Ceramic
Supply in Dallas, Tx. Their number is (214) 631-0540. They also had a
flyer with this info on it:

Fax 815-568-5699
Hope this helps.
Happy Holidays

What is a Potter's Pro Tool? Would love to know what it is, what it does
and why it is so special.
Thanks in advance.

If this is what you mean,

the Kemper Brand PRO-TOOL is just a strong needle tool.

It has an aluminum handle and a stainless steel needle about three
inches long. The handle has etched/cut cross-hatch surfaces so you can
grip it when wet with slip. Some folks just stick a hat pin through a
cork for the same tool.....

I bought two PRO-TOOLS in 1970's and still use the one I have not (yet)
worn out.

SAFETY ! A reminder...NEVER loose your needle in a bucket or barrel of
slip....finding it again can be VERY painful !

Keep it, when not in use..... ALWAYS stuck in a wad of clay, close to
your wheel head.

:)

Happy potting.....
