I have a K-2 Shimpo that is incredibly noisy when the wheel isn't engaged.
Has anyone experienced this? Does it need a new motor/cone like I think it
does?

If your RK2 wheel is very noisy when the pedal is in the off position, you
probably need a new motor. You can order through any Shimpo dealer. Please
contact 630-671-2137/2138 for a dealer in your area.

I had the same problem with my new shimpo. The loud hum drove me nuts. I
kept moving the thing about and putting rubber pieces under the legs and
between the wheel and the splashpan and it finally quit making that awful
noise. Good luck.
