Hi I have been using just alumina hydrate under my pots, but I have had the
ocational spill onto another pot. I was wondering if any of you had any
good kiln wash formulas that don't flake off? I need to flip my shelves so
they dont warp too much. I fire to cone 10 reduction. Thanks in advance

Do you ever run glazes? How about forgeting the kiln wash and just mixing
alumina hydrate in your wax resist? Have done it for years.
Do you know of a Janet Cook?

I dust my shelves with fine molochite and brush it off onto
newspaper to retain it for use again. Shelf "flipping" no
problem.

And I dust my shelves with flint and do pretty much the same thing. Works
great...
