majolica ware in a gas kiln?

Dear Readers,

I just returned home from a wonderful workshop in Majolica clay given at
MSU in Billings Montana. Rosalie Wyncoop is a most excellent teacher, and
accomplished artist in this colorful media. Rosie is a wonderful lady and
I was so glad to meet her acquaintance. I do hope more clay people will
have the opportunity to take one of her workshops.

Now that I have had a 'taste' of majolica tin ware I am wondering if I can
succeed in a gas kiln? (45 cu. ft Down Draught kiln). While I will always
enjoy doing reduction gas firing I would like to try my hand at some
majolica. Is there anyone out there who has had success with firing this
low fire tin ware in a gas kiln or do I really have to be 'tortured' (ha)
until I get my first electric fired kiln? Any hints or helps would be
appreciated. Thanks.
