glaze application/wide shallow containers

Jay,

I use a plastic base, or saucer, for the largest size plant pots - I guess
they're used for indoor trees. I got it at a local plant nursery. It's
about 18" wide and almost 8" deep. That's wide enough for me and the depth
makes it perfect for glazing platters and other shallow forms. Perhaps
there's an even bigger one, though I haven't seen it. It only cost a few
dollars, too.
