This method will only make sense to potters in snow country. I have a
plastic flying saucer that children use to slide down snow-covered hills. I
removed the plastic handles, covered up the holes with duct tape, and
place it on top of a large plastic garbage pail for support. As it is bowl
shaped rather than straight sided, not as much glaze is required. Then I
just slip a large platter into glaze, hold for whatever count is necessary
and slide it out in the other direction.
