cracks that wont quit

the best trick I learne to reduce cracks while drying wide bottom pots
such as plates was to cover in plastic with doughnut hole opening in the
center to allow the center to dry first.

I wrap my piece in plastic, turn it upside down and then tear a little
hole in the middle.

I also like to use plastic rain hats like you get from hotels. I wrap my
pieces so that the elastic goes over the plate or bowl side you would eat
out of and fits snug aroung the outside leaving a doughnut hole opening on
the bottom. just about reduced my cracking to zero!
