Hello,

I would like to get information on any workshops that are available in
the Kansas City area. In particular I'm interested in Steven Hill's
workshops. If anybody out there can share that information, I would
appreciate it.

Thanks,

The Kansas City Clay Guild is a good place to start. You can contact
them at 816-561-1686 and get on their mailing list. They sponsor
workshops several times a year. Steven Hill is just in the process of
opening his own Red Star Studio, where he plans to teach classes,
workshops, as well as bring in guest artists for workshops. I attended
a workshop there this past weekend, and his space is awesome!

Hope this helps.

Sylvia,

Try calling Steven at his new gallery/studio space in KC. It's called
the Red Star Gallery, and just had its informal opening within the past
week. Steven gave a daylong free workshop to mark the occasion, and he
told me there were 65 potters in attendance. I'm sure he'll be planning
more of these events.

Good luck,

Richard Aerni
