Hi woodcutters,

Stihl chainsaws are pretty durable, but you can not treat on elike a
Rolls-Royce because you still can get parts for a Silver Ghost
(1906-1925), but you CAN NOT get parts for an 031 that is 16 years old.
If you need to buy some parts for your 026 buy extras when they are
available, cause they won't be around for ever or even 10+ years.

In the old car hobby it is well known that todays gas will go bad in 3-4
months without a stabilizing additive. Many of my friends with classic
cars (1925-1948 as defined by the Classic Car Club of America) swear by
Sta-bil as the best additive. This modern gas will turn to varnish
without the help of oil. SO do use fresh gas and run your saw to empty if
you are not going to use it tomorrow.
