Hi all,

Just curious . . .
Lark Books has just released a new book, titled Ceramic Design.
I haven't received my copy yet, but, wondering how many clayarters are
included in the book. I am excited to say that I have a piece included (page
65 I am told)
and would love to know who else's work will be shown.

Marie,
I'm in it too but I haven't heard it was out yet. How did you find out?

Don, and anyone else interested . . .

I got a call from a gallery I work with in Houston, they had just purchased
the book.
I checked my bookstores here in Denver and no one has it in yet, but it was
released Sept. 10th. I would think our complimentary copies should be on
their way.
Congrats Don

Tana Patterson, my friend and colleague has a life size figure in p.102.
Beautiful book! It was in our Barnes and Noble. She had not been notified she
was in it.

Marie -- I have a piece in the Ceramic Design Book, too. The series of
ceramics books from Lark Books has been a wonderful opportunity for
pictures to be published! I'm happy to say that I also had a picture in
Don Davis' "Wheel Thrown Ceramics" and Kathy Triplett's "Handbuilt
Ceramics." I am a bit prejudiced, but I thought both of those books were
very nicely done -- exceptional, actually, in color photos, the variety of
work shown and in clearly-writen, easily-read text.

Don -- About 2 weeks ago, I called Lark Book to get some other information
and took the
opportunity to ask about the book. The book was out then but Chris Rich
was involved in another tight deadline and had not been able to send the
contributing artists their copies yet. They thought the copies would be
sent shortly after the first of October.
