Hey folks,

I am wondering if anyone who owns a Brent CXC would let me know what the
Amp and Watt pull on it is. Need to know if I have sufficient power on
my breaker in my studio for one. Currently I am using a kick wheel. (no
amps needed) :)

Thanks in advance! Norm! 8^o

The plate on our CXC says 10 amps. It also says 1 HP, which would be
about 750 watts. Because the 10 amps is the greater of these, use that
number. A 15 amp breaker should be fine.

Someone else will no doubt post the actual amperage draw, but you do not
have to worry. These machines really do not draw much amperage at all. I
would not recommend to anyone else that they try this, but when I was
teaching at North Dakota State University in Fargo, I arranged the thirteen
Brent wheels in an oval in the center of one end of the room. I ran a
single heavy-duty extension cord from a single outlet, and dropped it down
overhead, and plugges ALL the wheels into it via several plug strips. I
figured the worst that could happen would be to blow the breaker. It was
still like this three years later when I left ND, with never a problem at all.

My CXC uses a 3-prong (grounded) 110 volt AC outlet, regular household current.
In looking over the Brent product material from various distributors
(including Brent's itself), I can find nothing about amps and wattage.
