Hi Leslie,

Making a mold and casting it would be the most permanent and practical.
Just use alginate and make the cast out of plaster. That way you can get
away with some undercuts AND keep the original if you're careful. Put the
alginate and plasticine into the fridge for a little while before removing
the mold..... it'll firm up the plasticine. ( or chill it before you cast
the alginate )
Cast your plaster as usual.
