Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with the organizatoin American
Concern for Artistry and Craftsmanship (ACAC) out of New York? Has any one
done their shows specifically the Lincoln center or the Rosyln Harbor ones.
I jest received a "prejuried" invitation to three of their shows and am
wondering of its legitimacy. Specifically if such "pre-juried" invitations
are routinely sent out or if they do indeed preselect people.

thanks for any info anyone might have.

Awhile back, I talked with a potter living in Manhatten and she said that
NewYorkers come out for those shows but they are not big sellers. If you
are lucky you might make 2k. Sounds like a lot of trouble and stress and
expense for a couple of g's.

Don,

I have never done these shows, but have heard alot of things..Just what you
have mostly. The Lincoln Center sounds great, but it is true that sales are
low. I have also heard the Artrider Armory show was slow last year and not
worth the hassel.
I'm doing the Charlotte and Tampa ACC and will ask around for more feedback on
the ACAC shows..
New York is a funny place for Crafts..you would think things would be great
there with the American Craft Museum and all, but it seems craft galleries,
with a few
exceptions (Garth Clark, etc.) are not doing so well in the big apple. Have
you tried
Westchester?
Hope that helped...
I would love to hear more about shows on clayart. How many of us out there
are doing shows and which one???? Thoughts on indoor and outdoor,
etc.etc.?????

Saludos.
