In regards to the carpal tunnel discussion, I have also read that B-6 has been
used to relieve the symptoms (David Orser wrote that he had read that B-6
works). I found this article in the May 1998 issue of Vegetarian Times. It
is recommened that 200 mg be taken every day for three months. For
prevention, 100 mg a day. Some natural sources of B-6 are bananas, sweet
potatoes, and broccoli. This article also lists several herbs that
supposedly help, such as cayenne, which is an anti-inflammatory. If you are
looking for natural relief instead of surgery you should check out this
article. It is pretty informative.
I have had pain and numbness in my left wrist for close to five years. I have
been taking B-6 and cayenne for about two months now and I definitely have
felt an improvement. Of course, I believe you should still have your wrist
checked out by a physician to make sure you know exactly what the problem is
that you are dealing with.
