Hello Clayarters:

I am more-or-less a lurker on this listserv, contributing a few morsels
where it seems appropriate. I am still quite a novice potter, finding my
way with nerikome. I have a wonderful little studio in my home.

I live within 30 minutes of the Smithsonian's Renwick, National Museum of
Art, and West Wing (where Calder's sculpter lives). These institutions are
our nation's treasures and it's all free of charge=21 If anyone is planning
a trip to DC, feel free to send me an e-mail with your questions or
requests. Warning: if you are coming to DC next month, be advised that we
call this period of time the =22dog days of August=22. It's usually hot and
humid (maybe quite pleasant if you are from Florida or Georgia =3Cg=3E), and
people are scrampling to get those vacations in before the kids go back to
school in Sept. Best time to visit our Nation's capital is October and
November. Our Fall is usually quite pleasant and the tour buses are not so
ubiquitous (spelling?)
