velvet underglazes flaking

Hi - I just returned from a workshop at Arrowmount where we were advised that
adding 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of clear 06 glaze to the 2 oz underglaze would help
prevent flaking.

Can this mixture then be fired to a cone 6? I use the Velvet underglazes in
cone 6 firings.
