Hi everyone,
I'm considering converting my electric kiln into a gas fired
kiln. We have a natural gas service to the house, but I'm wondering if I
would need to apply for a permit if I used propane instead? My other
concern is, (I have no experience firing with gas) how large a tank
would I need? The kiln is 24"x27" interior space, firing at cone 10
stoneware, with a bisque probably every 2-3 weeks. I live in Northern
California-San Jose, and plan on firing outside. Also, have any
clayarters converted their kilns-are you satisfied with the results?
Summit Inc,-out of Florida is the company sending me information
on their conversion kit. Does anyone know of another company offering
this same type of service which is closer to where I live in San Jose?
Hope to be firing gas soon-thanks,
