Tom,
I felt like Charlotte was a good place to have Cermatech. There's an
international airport and many hotels and a HUGE new convention center
which is where NCECA will be in 2001 I think.

I agree with you about the timing for the workshop though. I also had
the thought that the Cermatech folks wanted the Seagrove folks to come
down and learn, but didn't realize that many Seagrove folks are 3rd or
4th generation potters that have been using the same claybody under the
same glazes to make the same forms since god was a child. Since that's
working for them, they may not see the need to come learn more stuff,
especially during peak production/tourist season.
