Hi:
I'm new to making glazes. I made a glaze with the
following formula and it came out almost black
instead of purple when raku'd on a terracota clay
body. Did I put in too much oxide?
Gertsley Borate 80
Cornwall Stone 20
Magnesium Dioxide 2.5 or so
Cobalt Oxide .5 or so (I say or so because my
scale doesn't go down this low and I think I may
have put in too much)
