Years ago we visited Karen Karens' studio and home. The kilns were
enclosed in a barn which were connected to the studio which was in turn
connected to the house. Karen was very generous and accomodating to us.
We examimed and took notes on her car kiln before building ours. She also
let me borrow an autographed book to read on Sam Maloof. I believe that
starting a collection for her and Ann would certainly be a worthwhile
project. I consider Karen to be a National Treasure and she should be
treated as such. No one woodfires pottery the way Karen does. Please let
me know where to send a donation. ....Marshall
