if we just learn to understand that all glazes have roots.
after a thousand years ideas get changed.

1234 still works, but the materials that make 1234 have changed
a little from the south of china.

the materials that tony and ron talk of, get wonderful science
and analysis , are very good materials....we know so much that
it almost gets in the way. we are so fortunate to have that kind
of support, but nothing works like your kiln, and your ideas. the process
of discovery is everything.

potters glazes.
ron, just keep making potters glazes.
i wanted you to have that blue mug, well cuzz, well....just could
not give you a dark brown one...( what is that glaze called/?)
oh, temmoku. i call mine mel's blue.

and remember, dannon knows all.
and i ain't kidding.
she is one terrific potter.
