I have tried to resist entering the Floating Blue discussion, but I
don't do well with temptations. Cindy wrote:

I have a real problem with words like "always" and "never" when it comes
to Art. In fact, I always avoid using "always" and "never" and tell my
students they should never use "always" and "never" either.

Anyhow, more to the point. I have just last week fired the holy glaze
(ie. Floating Blue) to Cone 7 in our new Skutt 1027 with kilnmaster on
the Cone fire mode at medium speed with a 10 minute soak at the end.
The Blue has seldom been so light and airy and rich. By the way, the
glaze was over Standard Ceramics #112 speckled brown.
