Just received some information on SOFA 1998, NYC and thought it looked very
interesting. I am posting some information here for Clayarters -
for more information and exact times and locations call 1-800-563-7632 (SOFA)
or the American Craft Museum.

The New York Debut of SOFA (Sculpture Objects Functional Art)
April 9-12 at the Seventh Regiment Armory in NY City (Park Avenue and 67th
ST.)

Tuesday, April 7th
Artist Presentations and Demonstrations ( held at various locations in the
city) :
including Ruth Duckworth, Jack Earl, and Sergei Isupov.

"Living with Craft"
Wednesday-Friday April 8-10
At the American Craft Museum 40 West 53rd Street
Various lectures on the topic of craft and the creative process of craft
including:
Thursday, April 9th from 9:30-12:30 pm
"Living with Craft III" Transforming the Material World
with Garth Clark, Helen Drutt English, Albert Paley, Franklin Parrasch, Toots
Zynsky, , Michael Heller, and Scott Jacobson.
