Here in simsbury/avon ct
*we burnish after the clay is bone dry, applying a little water and then
burnishing with a smooth rock. repeating the process 1 or 2 x and finishing
with a
little (olive) oil and more polishing with a stone...now tell me did the s.w.
indians use italian olive oil...think the type of oil is of personal
experiencial choice...
* we polish terrasig pieces with a soft cloth (which is also applied at the
dryest stage)
* without much care i simply applied a little slurry to a tiny, tiny pinch pot
piece (greenware) and polished a way with anything (can't remember)...thumb,
cloth or plastic spoon ( they.re great) while i was talking on the
phone...produce a nice sheen that survived both ^012 and ^ 06 firings...the
key is to experiment and note the results you prefer
