In Ceramics Art and Perception issue 30 prolly last fall there is an
article by and about this UK artist's work that really changed my
understanding of what is possible with terra sig. His colors are in the
orange range rather than browns and so now I understand what people are
driving at when they talk about adding color to terra sig although it seems
from his article that he is just using a variety of clays.
Anyway this journal is so exciting.....the international view is so
glorious...... and really wish I could up and land at the Hyperclay Gulong
in May....must be such a gas.....if anybody on our list goes I hope you
will report back.
I got my subscription at NCECA where they offered one of a selection of
back copies as an enticement.....pretty good.......
Eleanora.........oh those balmy breezes were great but the radio tells me
tornados again in Florida this time in the Miami area......makes this
icy-rainy-freezing mess seem quite tolerable........
