Since 1972, Augusta's Heritage Arts Workshops have brought together
master artists, students, musicians, dancers, and enthusiasts of all ages
to share in the fun and fulfillment of learning the traditional arts.

Pottery - July 12-24 - tuition =$ 620

This two-week workshop, emphasizing low-fire pottery and surface
decoration techniques, is open to all levels from beginning to advanced.
The class will include throwing, altering thrown forms
(oval,square,etc.), hand building, glazing, decorating, and
firing(earthenware and raku).The major emphasis will be on skills used in
wheel thrown earthenware, exploring a variety of clay and glaze
decorating techniques: slip trailing, brushwork, wax resist, and
Majolica. The studio is open around the clock. A fee of $50 will cover
the average student's materials.
