dipping vs pouring glazes

Interesting observation: We has several bowls of the same glaze to come
out of a glaze fire. All of the bowls except for one were dipped, the
other bowl was poured (the glaze application method). The bowls which were
dipped came out flawless, the poured bowl had numerous pin holes. The
poured glaze obviously was thinner and the glaze defects were the result of
a glaze applied to thinly. ...Marshall
