Cookie Redding was wondering about evocative substance "Diamond Dust", by
Dick Blick.

When you study poetry, you live for phrases like this. I savor the
notion that diamond dust, the stuff of lucre dreams, is ephemeral in
the fires that make common sand into the most durable of substances.

Were this a German seminar, we'd have to comment on "Dick Blick" --
a "thick glance" in German if you elide a little. A keen glance
cuts to the heart of the matter, while duller insight rests on that
which might be said to glitter without the golden essence. Naturally,
Dick Blick thinks diamond dust is worth more than some of our more
worthy dusts. Bicultural elitism -- gotta love it!

I should read more poetry, this is fun ... thank you, Cookie!

hey, leggo my neck with that hook! ...
