i am working on a history of `hay creek` and going back
to the original camp at `pidgeon lake`. It is going to be
a careful historical record, and picture book of how we
established `hay creek` as an adult shared learning facility.
it will be a testimonial to both Kurt Wild and Bob Holman.
Bob has parkinson's and a severe heart condition. I want
this book done and given to bob before any disaster strikes.
(we came damn close a year ago.)
I have a few notbooks full of old lists, assignments and other
materials that i have kept. it dates to 1979. we have been
together as a group for that many years. i fed 50 people at camp
one night this summer. we do cooperate. and yes, i still do the cooking.
and all the dishes now and then.
Kurt started the `pidgeon lake` camp for art at the univ.of wisc field stat=
near drummond, wisc...near lake superior. we became adjunct to the science=
and built the program into a two week, all art camp. the biggest group was=
