Hi Connie, all...

I was all excited and wanting to see some really vintage Potter's
Wheels...and, I contacted 'Uniquities' and they emailed me a link to images
of the items, and, all they are are some old very plain 'wheel heads' which
have been fitted to present day utility Stands to function as poorly
designed and probably uncomfortable Stools for sitting on.

These are not 'Potter's Wheels' as such, only Wheel 'Heads' fitted to crude
'stands'.

Oh well...

Surely, they are Banding Wheels.

Hi Joel,

It is a little confusing...

They m-i-g-h-t be Banding Wheels, but, the people selling them told me
they were 'Potters Wheels' ( 'Heads'? ) which they had fitted to Stands to
be used as 'decorator/designer Stools.

Definitely some room for ambiguity so far anyway...

Adding a PS to my message : I should have read the description on
the webpage that said :" salvaged from a demolished Staffordshire
pottery in the U.K "
So, from a Staffordshire pottery .. but still definitely a banding
wheel . A friend of mine in UK has one. They work fabulously , but
yeah, price is a little steep for a non-self-centering one.
